Participants in the CASv “Sports Psychology Skills for Coaches and Managers” expand and improve the key skills for their field of activity. The know-how acquired in the certificate offers participants a fundamental advantage over their competitors and creates confidence among the decision-makers of a club.
As part of the CASv, you will focus intensively on your leadership style, because successful coaches and managers are “people-catchers”. This requires both a supportive attitude and methodological competence, e.g. in the areas of communication and conflict management. In the program, we will support you in an application-oriented and practical way.
Coaches can create and promote mental strength in their players and the team or destroy it. In the program, you will learn what you can do to promote mental strength in your players and the team, based on specific situations from everyday football. SHORT PROFILE OF THE CASv “SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY SKILLS FOR COACHES AND MANAGERS”
TARGET GROUP OF THE CERTIFICATE “SPORT PSYCHOLOGY FOR COACHES AND MANAGERS
The CASv is a professional training and further education program and is primarily aimed at managers in performance-oriented football, both in the senior and youth sectors.
Members of the functional team, such as physiotherapists or coaches, will also benefit from the program and be able to apply much of the content directly in their day-to-day work.
Prerequisites for participation in the CASv are a university entrance qualification or completed vocational training in a recognized profession that is conducive to the course as well as at least three years of professional experience that is conducive to the course, a keen interest in football and athletic training and experience in professional football. Applicants without a university entrance qualification but with a professional qualification can also be admitted to the CASv under certain conditions. In these cases, an institute certificate is issued without ECTS points instead of a CASv certificate with ECTS points. Only the place of residence of all applicants must be outside Germany. All participants will be issued an institute certificate without ECTS points. In Addition, the residence must be outside of Germany.

Those who complete the CASv have gained a comprehensive insight into the methodological toolbox of sports psychology and know how to use it. They have also improved their social skills in the area of leadership, management and communication
